rnue is compatible with React Native 0.86.x.
The current plans are to support a single targeted release of React Native, similar to the policy of other ecosystem projects like Expo.
How closely will React Native for Unreal Engine follow the React Native release schedule?
React Native follows a schedule of 6 releases per year. The current plan is to support every other release. In other words, rnue will aim for 3 releases per year that increment the React Native version to the latest stable release.
Can I use a different version of React Native?
rnue depends on binary compatibility with specific releases of React Native. Since that binary interface changes often, it is highly likely that using an different version of React Native than perscribed will break your build.
Unreal Engine
rnue is compatible with Unreal Engine 5.6.x - 5.8.x, in both the source distribution and Epic Games Store pre-built versions.
Operating systems
rnue is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. Linux and console support is planned but not yet available.
